Although not a service we normally offer -- simply because there are only so many directions that can be effectively managed with a truly personal touch, and our primary interest remains in the creation of the planting aspect of landscapes -- to complement the recent addition of a garage (with second floor office) we made use of the truly daunting pile of rocks unearthed by digging the foundation.  Here are a few photos of the various yard paths, driveway access areas and steps created with a combination of these stones and a minimal purchase of pavers and other hardscaping materials.

This is a shot from the front driveway leading to the basement on the left and what will become the garage (attached via a second floor breezeway, with ground level walkthrough) on the right....

...and a close-up of the steps (comprised of rainbow slate) pictured above...

Here's a view of the same area looking further to the right (directly in front of the soon-to-be garage)...

...and this is a shot of the slate-filled/stone-bordered basement entry...

This is a view from directly behind the garage,  facing what will become the ground-floor walkthrough leading to...

...the back yard...

Again, we have a close-up of steps, these constructed from natural stone...

...and another view of the stone wall from the back driveway...

Lastly, here's a view of some additional steps added to facilitate access to a storage building located to the south of the garage, near the back border of the property...

Again, this is not work you'll find advertised among the services of Lawn Express, but a project that nonetheless proved both greatly challenging and highly rewarding...and in a spirit arguably characteristic of many home projects, is very likely not yet complete.  As a friend of ours has said, "Renovating and redecorating are never done; one merely stops."  How true!
